The New Pathways -- Taking Those First Baby Steps

After you login, select Pathways Learning Experience and Begin Your Journey, you will be greeted by these three great gateways.

On the left, Navigator guides you through each step of your Pathways journey and is filled with essential information for your Pathways learning experience.

On the right, Pathways Base Camp is for everyone; including the Base Camp Manager (your Club's VPE, President and Secretary) and Pathways Guides. For dual member, it is important to choose your "home" club.

The middle doorway is where you want to enter. You need to do a self-assessment for the system to understand your needs and goals before recommending three possible paths you can choose.

If you are like me, I decided against all three recommendations. Instead, I opted for Leadership Development path (free of charge) and paid for two others (US$20 per additional path), namely, Team Collaboration and Strategic Relationships.

If you are a member of more than one Toastmasters Club before the rollout of Pathways in your District, you are entitled to one additional "FREE" path. For the second path selected, you have to send an email request to Toastmasters International (Note: Don't pay on checkout).

While all these are "fun and game" for those who are quite proficient in the English language, imagine the dilemma faced by those who are not. For Toastmasters in District 80, the Chinese speaking community is facing this challenge.

Being an international education organisation, perhaps Toastmasters International could invest in "dropdown screens" in the major languages which we are offering educational programs.
